New Place to Prospect

Both the Sam's Club Warehouse and Staples outlets near my office have wall-boards devoted to local area business cards. If you have a local business, you can place your card (or several cards crammed into one card holder) on the bulletin board-like wall. Both stores have space for about 200 different cards. I use these boards to advertise my services. And, since I sell mailing lists to sales reps at small as well as large companies, I copy all the addresses into my prospect database. I figure if they're marketing themselves by advertising on the card board, there's a good chance they'll buy a list to further market themselves. I bet they can use hundreds of other business-related services. Cost of the list is next to nothing; cost to advertise on the board is next to nothing; and mail deliverability to the people on the cards is superb. And so far 10% of the people I've added to my database have requested more info or bought something from me.
