Would you spend $20 to make ten more sales? I would. Without blinking an eye. Here's how: Print up an extra thousand of your business cards and start leaving them everywhere. Not just with your clients. I mean EVERYWHERE! Stop to make a phone call? Place one on top of the phone. Stick one in the phone book so it looks like it's holding someone's spot in the book. Leave one on the doughnut counter after you finish your meal or snack. Put one on an empty shelf spot at your local grocery store. Leave one on the counter at the book shop. Leave one on the scoring table at the bowling alley. Put one on the gas pump. Drop one in the elevator. Leave your card everywhere you go. Chances are someone will pick up your card, even if they're just cleaning up. Guarantee they're at least going to read your name and company (maybe they know you?) before they toss it. And chances are pretty good that at least one out of a hundred people will have an interest in what you do ... and many more will keep your card for future reference. Your cost is only about $20 for the cards. But you'll gain a tremendous amount of exposure (positive, as long as you don't get a reputation for littering) and you're bound to get some business out of it.
