Add Bulk to an Envelope
And Get a Better Response

What type of mail do you pay attention to? Okay, after letter sfrom your attorney, your mother, incoming checks, and letters from long lost old and frail very rich relatives (these always get opened first), you start gravitating towards the most interesting or most mysterious. Unusually bulky envelopes are always mysterious. Something that makes your envelope feel different or stand out from the crowd will give your message a priority in the daily mail heap. Premium, or imprinted specialty items, work well. Imprinted items include message pads, combs, pens and pencils, calendars and any number of assorted items that can carry your logo and maybe a sales message. But you don't have to include a sales promo. Since your main objective is to get your mail opened, just about anything that add bulk to your envelope will help to get that piece opened. Ideally, you want to tie the giveaway into your selling message. Or you can tie it into a holiday. The Oriental Trading Company carries dozens of interesting items costing anywhere from 1-10 each that fit the bill nicely. From stickers to plastic spiders (Halloween) to carnival prizes (great for kids) to Christmas-related items, this catalog is bound to spark your interest and add just the right amount of mystery to get your envelopes opened.
